G98 and G99 in practice
G98 and G99 are engineering recommendations published by the Energy Networks Association. For smaller generating equipment under the 'connect and notify' route, the installer fits the system and submits a G98 notification to the Distribution Network Operator within 28 days. For larger systems under 'apply to connect', a G99 application, or G100 where export is limited, must be approved before installation.
A fast-track form exists for fully type-tested combined generation and storage installations. Your installer decides which route applies and should give you a copy of the notification or approval.
