NICEIC and NAPIT in practice
Certsure, trading as NICEIC, and NAPIT are among the authorised competent person schemes for electrical installations in dwellings, and also cover other trades. Electricians registered with them can self-certify notifiable electrical work under Part P and give the homeowner a certificate.
Electrical scheme members appear on a single electrical competent person register, which householders can search. Registration should be checked for the type of work you need. Ask for the certificate after the job and keep it with the property's documents.
